Film Club

The Film Club began in May 2014.  Its aim was to provide a social occasion for all our parishioners and those in our community and to show a variety of films which would be enjoyed by most people.  It meets on the first Wednesday of every month in the Thompson Room in St Austin's Parish Centre.  Doors open at 6 30 pm when the cafebar will also be open for hot and cold drinks.  The film starts at 7 pm and there is an interval when drinks once again will be available and ice creams will be on sale.  The evening finishes somewhere between 9 30 and 9 45 pm. No charge is made but donations are welcome to support the Church and to cover the cost of licensing of films.  All are very welcome.

Our next film will be "Hacksaw Ridge" - the true story of an American soldier who refused to carry arms during the Second World War and his stuggle to stick to his religious principles and yet come out of the War with honour.  This will be shown on Wednesday 7 March in St Austin's Parish Centre.  Doors open at 6 30 pm for a 7 pm start.
