Parking At St Austins

Information about where to park for St Austin’s Church.

Parking is available on both sides of Wentworth Terrace (not on the double yellows though!). Further parking is available on Laburnum Road, Wentworth Street and outside The College pub. Further down Northgate towards the city centre there is a large pay and display car park which is accessed by Providence Street. It is only two minutes walk from the church (no charge after 6:00pm).

There is a car park at the rear of the presbytery but it has limited capacity and is used by a number of people visiting, working, delivering or indeed staying at St Austins. This may be accessed from Laburnum Road by prior arrangement with the parish priest. For those using this car park one of the spaces has been rented for usage and has been marked (space beside the garage) markers have been placed to try and make sure that the other spaces are used as effectively as possible. Parking there is undertaken at the users own risk.

During weekdays and Saturday daytime please note that the streets around are pay and display (including Good Friday) though there are spaces outside The College pub where you may park for two hours for free on Howard Street. On the south side of Wentworth Terrace there is a single yellow line so only users with a disabled parking pass can park.
