The next meeting for the SVP will take place in St Austin’s Parish Centre on Thursday 15 March at 6:30pm.

SVP Parish Conference

The St Vincent de Paul Society is an international Catholic registered charity organised by parish basis. Membership is made up of lay volunteers within a parish and other like minded people with similar values within the local community. The main work of the SVP at membership level is person to person contact with individuals and families who need support and assistance including visiting homes, hospitals and residential care homes within the wider parish offering spiritual comfort and material help where it is needed.

India and The Sudan and an annual financial contribution is provided to all three overseas SVP conferences as a commitment to helping the poorer areas of the world.

The parish SVP Conference meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month in the St Austin’s Parish Centre at 7:00pm. Meetings usually last about an hour and focus on finding and responding to local needs. New members are always welcome.
